Listing of homes registered with the Hancock County Bicentennial Commission for recognition of homes built before 1876. The application forms include:

• name of present (1976) owner
• Address and legal description
• list of owners beginning with original
• size of original parcel of land
• information about the first owner
• date of construction and how much of the original home remains stading
• description of renovations
• stories and photographs from/about the home.

The original applications for 9 homes are included in the binder.

A 1984 update contains information about and additional 14 houses in the county.
