Collection of funeral home records from area directors. Includes:

  1. Banks & Beals Funeral Home, 1933-2001: transcript compiled by the LaHarpe Historical & Genealogical Society. Arranged alphabetically by name of deceased, included date of death, place of death, burial site, birth date and place, names of parents, spouse and date/place of marriage, names of near relatives, military service and occupation of deceased.
  2. Bradfield Funeral Home, Warsaw, IL (donated by Lamporte Funeral Home): Excel spreasheet that lists name, birth date, death date, cemetery, next of kin, and parents.
  3. Fecht Funeral Home 1922-1941: Copy of the original record. Alphabetical listing at beginning of book (by first letter of surname only). Chronological record of burial; lists name of deceased, services and feed, date of payment.
  4. Funeral notices, 1897-1901: These black-bordered notices were printed at the request of the family of the deceased and were distributed to local businesses or other establishments for public information, or were mailed to relatives/friends. They typically recorded the date and place of death, age, and funeral arrangements. An alphabetical index is included.
  5. Hearnes-Jackson Funeral Home Records 1924-1933, donated by Neiser-Printy Funeral Home: The complete record may be viewed at the funeral home by appointment. Transcript derived from the records of Hearne, Jackson, Neiser, Dejong, and Printy Funeral Homes. Includes name of deceased, birth and death dates, cemetery, names of spouse, children, and parents.
  6. Radden Funeral Home Reocrds 1949-1964: alphabetical transcript of records includes: information on date and place of death, burial site, date and place of birth, parents and their place of birth, spouse, date and place of marriage, children and place of residence, other near relatives.
  7. Plymouth Register of Funerals, 2 volumes, 1898-1943. Copy of the original record. Alphabetical index has been created. Chronological record that lists year, name of deceased, person ordering the funeral, age, cause of death, dates of death and burial, coffin type and price, purchased clothing and price, embalming and attendance fee, charges for carriages, flowers, grave, vault, and hearse. Total sum listed along with date of payment and any remarks.
