Day Ledger of Dr. L. T. Ferris, 1851-1861

3 volumes. Copy and transcript of the ledger kept by Dr. Ferris during his time as a doctor in Hancock County. The original is on display in the Lincoln exhibit at the Kibbe Museum, where it is turned to the page where there is a notation about one of Abraham Lincoln’s visits to the county for a political speech.

Includes a preface with information on many of the medicines used by Dr. Ferris and a surname index.

The ledger lists, in chronological order, the names of patients, their ailments and treatments, and the charge for services.
